Learning to read from left to right, top to bottom is a pre-reading skill important to include in a pre-reading program for kindergarten or preschool.

Tasks such as running fingers along lines as you read to young children can help to establish this progression.

The following pages provide another activity to help with this skill.
These sentences also include some of the Dolch sight word pre primer vocabulary, e.g. down, help, little, away, look, big, one, two, three, play, red, funny, jump, my, see, yellow.
